Frankfurt hosted the first European Regional Championships of the 2027 season on September 26 and 27. Nearly 2,800 players from around the world competed in the Masters division of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, including several members of Poké Društvo Slovenija. One of our members also competed in the VGC Masters division.
Regional Championships are among the largest tournaments in the Play! Pokémon circuit. Players face a long opening day and numerous rounds against opponents from different countries, making advancement to the second day an achievement in itself.
Our members Matic and Bela Among the Top 500
Matic finished the tournament in 349th place with a record of seven wins, five losses, and two draws.
Bela recorded six wins, six losses, and two draws to finish in 465th place.
Both advanced to the second day of competition, placing among the top few hundred players at an exceptionally large and demanding tournament.
A Strong Slovenian Presence
Several other members of our association also attended the Frankfurt Regional Championships. Taking part in an event of this scale brings much more than a final result: it provides experience at the highest level of competition, new connections, and valuable knowledge that players can bring back to our local community.
