Arriving at a first event can feel uncomfortable, especially when you do not know any other participants. That is completely normal.
When you arrive
Find the organiser or a marked registration point. Say that this is your first event and ask how the programme works. At most meetups, you may begin by simply looking around.
What to bring
- any item or equipment listed in the event description,
- water and anything required for your personal circumstances,
- questions you would like to ask other players.
A respectful community does not expect you to know everything already. Beginner questions are welcome.
